Stop drooling and start dribbling.

The Youth Basketball League is back up and running this season, with games from Oct. 29 through to spring break. Last chance for registration is Wednesday, Oct. 15 at Whistler Secondary, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Depending on the number of players, teams will play against other youth from the Sea to Sky corridor and the city.

There are divisions for boys and girls from Grades 3 to 5, Grades 6 and 7, Grades 8 and 9, and Grades 10 through 12.

Grade 7s and younger will practice on Mondays at Myrtle Philip from 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The high school teams will be representing Whistler Secondary, with a practice schedule to be announced.

In addition, the Grade 6 and 7 players will participate in the Steve Nash Metro League with games on Saturdays for girls and Sundays for boys starting on Oct. 11.

In addition to players, volunteer coaches, referees and team parents are needed to help out. There will be a coaching clinic on Sunday, Oct. 19.
