Women’s only skate ski clinics offered

comment

Skate skiing is a lot more challenging than it looks – fall out of rhythm and you could wind up doing the splits. It’s also one of the most intense aerobic sports you can do, burning more than 800 calories an hour.

To help women get the most out of the sport, Carolyn Rodger and Joanna Harrington – both certified with the Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructors – are hosting women only skate ski clinics through the Cross Country Connection.

The clinics are open to all ages and abilities, and go from the basics to the more advanced skate skiing techniques.

The women’s only sessions will run Thursday nights from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. starting on Dec. 11. The Saturday clinics will begin on Dec. 13 and run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For more information and registration, contact the Cross Country Connection at 604-905-0071.
