Whistler Writers Festival: Workshop for Young Writers

When: Sat., Oct. 13, 2:30-4 p.m. 2018

Writing historical fiction is like being an archaeologist, historian, reporter and liar all at once. It’s not for the faint of heart. How do you find the story that will make your facts come alive without changing the course of history? Join award-winning author Penny Draper (Disaster Strikes! series) to find out. Delve into her Box of Wonders and check out the maps, artifacts, clues, characters and treasure that will help you create your own piece of historical fiction. She’ll bring the truth; you bring the lies. Free to attend, but participants must be under the age of 19. Call 604-935-8436, email, or drop by the library to claim a spot for your kid.
