Following super G and super combined races, the NorAm Cup event at Panorama Mountain Resort continued through last weekend with giant slalom and slalom races.
On the men's side there were 105 racers in GS. Development team racer Dustin Cook took the win, followed by Charles Christianson and Colby Grandstrom of the U.S.
Ford Swette, in his first year with the B.C. Ski Team, placed a solid 26th, while Morgan Pridy was 41st.
More than 25 racers went off course or missed gates in the competition.
The women's slalom took place on the same day with 80 racers.
Ellie Terwiel took the win for Canada, while Whistler's Madison McLeish - who posted her best NorAm result to date with a win in the super G - was second.
Whistler Mountain Ski Club alumni Jocelyn Ramsden and Kailee Darlington were among the finishers, 43rd and 47th respectively.
The next day the racers switched spots with the men racing slalom and women GS.
None of the Canadian men reached the podium. Jonathan Nordbotten of Norway took the win, followed by Colby Gransrom and Nick Daniels of the U.S. David Donaldson was the top Canuck, in fourth place.
Conrad Pridy was a solid 14th, while Morgan Pridy was 21st.
American skiers Makaela Shiffrin, Anna Marno and Kiley Staples swept the podium on the women's side, with Kate Ryley leading the Canadians, in fifth place. Jocelyn Ramsden cracked the top 30, finishing in 28th place.
Following the NorAm Cup, there were FIS races at Panorama and Nakiska, with many WMSC skiers competing at that level for the first time.
At Panorama, the WMSC's Ford Swette placed sixth overall in the opening giant slalom, while Morgan and Conrad Pridy were 14th and 21st respectively. Broderick Thompson was 39th, Brodie Seger 54th, Charlie Renzoni 69th, Blake Ramsden 58th, John McIver 68th, Jake Allison 86th and Ben Reeves 88th.
Ford Swette moved up to fifth in the second GS the next day, with Conrad Pridy seventh, Morgan Pridy 14th, Broderick Thompson 39th, Brodie Seger 51st, Blake Ramsden 54th, John McIver 71st, Jake Allison 95th and Akio Kato 99th out of over 130 racers.
In the first slalom, Conrad Pridy was ninth, Morgan Pridy 18th, Broderick Thompson 27th, Spencer Morris 41st, Brodie Seger 64th, Charlie Renzoni 68th, John McIver 69th, Blake Ramsden 73rd, Benjamin Reeves 79th, Jake Allison 90th and Akio Kato 93rd.
In the second slalom, Conrad Pridy was 11th, Morgan Pridy 15th, Broderick Thompson moved up to 20th, Ford Swette was 30th, Blake Ramsden 47th, Charlie Renzoni 53rd, Brodie Seger 56th, John McIver 61st, Jake Allison 78th and Akio Kato 82nd.
The women's races were at Nakiska.
In the first slalom the top WMSC racer was Elyse Timoshenko, 18th. Charley Field was 25th, Sofi Leroux 26th, Jocelyn Ramsden 27th and Kailee Darlijngton 31st.
In the second slalom Jocelyn Ramsden was 17th, Elyse Timoshenko 21st, Rae Swette 26th, Emma King 33rd, Charley Field 36th and Celesete Pomerantz 46th.
In the giant slalom, Jocelyn Ramsden was 17th, Elyse Timoshenko 21st, Rae Swette 26th, Emma King 33rd, Charley Field 36th and Celeste Pomerantz 46th.
In the second giant slalom, Jocelyn Ramsden was 13th, Kailee Darlington 27th, Rae Swette 32nd, Sofi Leroux 37th, Emma King 38th, Charley Field 46th and Celeste Pomerantz 55th.
