Whistler Presents New Year's Eve

When: Wed., Dec. 31, 6 p.m.-12 a.m. 2014

A family-style celebration in Whistler Village, with multiple venues of lively entertainment, games, crafts and activities connected by the Village Stroll. Finish up the alcohol-free evening with a special Fire & Ice Show at 11:30 PM and Fireworks at Midnight (wristbands not required). Wristbands required for the following: Skating at Olympic Plaza from 6pm to midnight. (Skate shop closes at 11pm.) A giant bubble wrap stomp and balloon drop at Millennium Place, including three levels of crafts, games, a photo backdrop, music, a huge community mural, cartoons, some tasty treats and live art. Open 6pm to 11pm with a NYE kids countdown at 11pm. A bouncy castle at the Whistler Conference Centre, with family entertainment and performers, games, crafts and a lounge area to warm up and relax. Open 6pm to 11pm with a NYE kids' countdown at 9pm. There will also be a Much Music Dance Party from 8 p.m. to midnight for ages 13 to 18. “A White Night” In the Village: Dance to two DJs, Rich-A & Praiz, with music for the whole family while MC Erica Dee sings and raps you right through to the countdown with the Whistler A Go Go Girls. Wear some white to make the Village Square glow and for your chance to win some prizes. Advance wristbands are available for $15 for those 13 and over, $10 for kids three to 12 at or in-resort at Millennium Place, the Visitor Information Centre and the Meadow Park Sports Centre.
