Whistler Chamber's 2012-13 Spirit Pass is a bargain for employees

Whistler Chamber of Commerce's adult Spirit Pass for the 2012-13 winter season will cost $1,249, 16 per cent cheaper than the Early Bird season pass and 30 per cent less than the regular season pass.The Spirit Program is offered to Whistler business owners and their employees to encourage delivering exceptional customer service to resort guests. To qualify, participants attend an orientation session that provides essential resort-specific and customer service information."There is no question that this year's Spirit Program offers tremendous value to participants, not only because of the financial savings, but also because it provides Spirit participants with discounted access to both winter and summer activities," said Kendra Mazzei, chair of the board for the chamber."It's a ground-breaking program and includes a number of improvements this year, including an online qualifying event for Level 2 participants, all of which will help us move Whistler closer to becoming world famous for delivering exceptional customer service".For the first time, pass holders will also enjoy discounted access to activities like golf, spa visits and adventure tours during the summer of 2013, through automatic acceptance into the chamber's Summer Spirit Pass program. The details for this will be available spring 2013.The program has three levels of training: level one for recent employees, level two for employees who have been working at the resort for longer than a year, and level three is for managers, supervisors and owners.The Spirit Program is open to any business that is a member in good standing with the Whistler Chamber of Commerce. To qualify, employees must work in Whistler or Pemberton for a minimum of 20 hours per week.Spirit Pass holders receive all the benefits of a Whistler Blackcomb season pass, including discounts on Whistler Blackcomb food and beverage, retail, snow school and more.The savings also extend to the unlimited senior pass at $675 and unlimited parent pass at $1,249.Registration opens Oct. 16, 2012.
