Whistler BioBlitz

When: Sat., Aug. 23, 12-10 p.m. and Sun., Aug. 24, 2 p.m. 2014

The Whistler Naturalists are proud to present their eighth annual BioBlitz, a 24-hour, round-the-clock race to count as many species as possible, and a way for the community to have fun and discover the amazing biodiversity of the area. Over the years BioBlitz scientists have documented over 1,000 species never before recorded in Whistler. Saturday includes a free nature festival at noon, and special kids events like the Wild Things Scavenger Hunt at 2pm and a Night Critters expedition from 7:30 pm. New this year, the crew will head up to Pemberton's Fulton property on Sunday at 2pm to visit an entirely different ecosystem – including the environment of the highly endangered sharp-tailed snake.
