The Whistler Mountain Bike Park is open for the summer — two weeks ahead of schedule.
"The vibe seems positive, lots of old friends getting together, so I'm pretty happy," said park manager Brian Finestone.
Finestone and his team were out working on trails in late March — earlier than ever before.
Finestone said riders of all abilities can expect a smoother trip down the mountain this year.
"We've done some refits to some of our trails," he said.
"We looked at our trail mix and saw a few gaps in the ability continuum, so we're just filling in those gaps and we're just making it so that, from novice to expert, there's a really smooth continuum."
