The Squamish Titans Athletic Club is presenting its fourth annual Squamish Youth Triathlon at Brennan Park Recreation Centre on Sunday, May 11.

Participants must be between the ages of 6 and 16, and have the option of doing the entire event themselves or as part of a two- or three-person relay team.

The triathlon includes a pool swim, a mountain bike ride and a trail run. For kids age 6 and 7, there is a 50 metre swim, a 1.5 km bike ride and a 0.5 km run. For 8 and 9-year-olds, the swim is 100 metres, the bike is 3 km, and the run is 1 km. Youth aged 10 to 12 will swim 150 metres, bike 5 km and run 2 km, and the youth 13 to 16 will swim 300 metres, bike 8 km and run 3 km. More detailed instructions can be found at www.squamishtitans.com/youthtri.hm.

Only the first 75 entrees are guaranteed a shirt on the day of the event, with others receiving their shirts two weeks later.

The entry fee is $20 for each participant, and entry forms are available at the Brennan Park Recreation Centre, Sea to Sky Ocean Sports, Eagle Run Coffee Co. and Howe Sound Inn. You can also pick up an entry form in Whistler at the Meadow Park Recreation Centre.

You can drop off completed entries to Brennan Park, or register online at www.squamishtitans.com. The deadline for registration is May 8, with no exceptions.

The Squamish Titans are supported by the Squamish Off Road Cycling Association (SORCA), the Squamish Pirates Swim Club, and the District of Squamish Recreation Services.
