Get your winter reading supply well stocked at the giant used booksale on Sat. Oct. 11 in front of IGA. One day only from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fiction, non-fictions, kids books and videos are all on sale by donation. Proceeds got to Whistler Public and Spring Creek Community School Libraries.
HARVEST SOUP CONTEST>>
For $5 sample soups from Whistlers top chefs and restaurants and vote for your favourite at the annual Harvest Soup Contest. The ladles start dipping at 11 a.m. 2 p.m. at the last Farmers Market on Sun. Oct. 12 in the Upper Village at the base of Blackcomb Mountain. Proceeds go to the Alta Lake School.
THE FROG PRINCE AUDITIONS>>
The Missoula Childrens theatre is holding auditions for The Frog Prince on Mon. Oct. 13 at 4 p.m. in the Millar Room, Myrtle Philip School. Auditions are open for all Whistler kids from Kindergarten to Grade 6. The performance takes place on Sat. Oct. 18.
