TELLURIDE MOUNTAIN FILM ON TOUR>>

There are animations, documentaries and adventure films playing at MY Place on Sat., March 15 and Sun, March 16 as part of the Telluride Mountain Film on Tour. The show starts at 6 p.m. on both evenings. Tickets are $15/evening or $25 for both shows. Call 604-935-8410 for details.

CARIBBEAN NIGHT>>

There will be contests, prizes, a silent auction and a DJ at this licensed event on Sat. March 16. Admission is $10 per adult, $5 per child and children under two get in for free. This licensed event will take place at the Pemberton Community Centre from 6 to 10:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the centre or call 604-894-2340.

NATURALISTS SPEAKER>>

Dr. John Ford is coming to MY Place to talk about killer whales on Thurs. March 27 at 7 p.m. Ford is one of the pre-eminent scientists studying killer whale behaviour and biology. Come for a glimpse into the lives of Orcas.

VACCINATIONS: THE MYTHS>>

Listen to the non-profit lecture by Sue Kelly on researched, published and informed opinions of vaccines on Thurs. April 3 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Spruce Grove Field House. Tickets are $10 in advance at Nesters or $15 at the door.

CHAMBER LUNCHEON>>

Join Don Dewar and Bob Adams as the review the results of the Chamber’s employee survey, answered by 570 Whistler employees. They say the results may be a surprise to some. The luncheon takes place on Wed. March 19 at 11:45 a.m. at the Trattoria Restaurant. The lunch is $20 for members, $25 for non-members. Call 604-932-5922 for reservations.

FRIENDS OF WHISTLER PUBLIC LIBRARY AGM>>

Blackcomb Mountain is open daily from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. For $2 ride the rails and be crowned King at the base of the mountain. Sessions go off at 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Sat. night.
