The Whistler Public Library celebrates 16 years of operations on Saturday, Aug. 31. At 2 p.m. trustees will be serving birthday cake at the library, at 4329 Main Street in Village North.
THE BIG BANK THEORY>>
Sea to Sky entertainment has postponed the shooting of the Big Bank Theory, a locally produced feature film. The first annual festival celebrating life in the Creekside with childrens activities and performances, live street entertainment, a beer garden and lots more. The festival takes place on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. STRUT YOUR STUFF>>
The annual registration and information fair for community recreation programs takes place Sept. 7, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Whistler Secondary school. Organized by KidSport Whistler, the fair is a chance to meet coaches, parks and recreation centre staff, trade-in small equipment and clothing, watch displays and pick up application forms for KidSport grants.
Whistler Parks and Recreation presents Community FunFest. A fun, annual event for our community at Rainbow Park Sunday, Sept. 8, 3-6 p.m. Activities include: a puppet show, free canoe and kayak rentals, crafts, a bouncy castle, tarot card reader, live music, barbecue and lots more. There is a $5 cost per person for the barbecue.

The Kelty Patrick Dennehy Foundation Weekend to Remember Sept. 14-15 includes a gala dinner Saturday night and a golf tournament at Nicklaus North Sunday.
