Stephen Herrero, renowned grizzly and black bear biologist from the University of Alberta, will speak at Millennium Place on Wednesday, Aug. 28. This is a joint presentation with the Whistler Naturalists and the JJ Whistler Bear Society. Herrero is the first speaker in a monthly series for the Whistler Naturalists during the 2002-2003 season.

WHISTLER WRITERS WEEKEND WORKSHOP>>
The weekend workshop from Aug 16-18 still has room. Keynote speaker Andreas Schroeder (co-chair of UBCs Creative Writing program), leads the Whistler Writers weekend workshop. Interested applicants should submit a manuscript no longer than 4,000 words. Writers receive both individual feedback from Schroeder as well as group feedback.
