WHISTLER NATURALISTS

Volunteers needed for the Federation of B.C. Naturalists’ Fall General Meeting Sept. 20-22. There will be a wide range of speakers and field trips. Confirmed speakers include: Tom Hurd (Banff Wildlife Specialist); Jack Souther (volcanoes); Kathy Martin (alpine bird migration); Morgan Wells (traditional plant use); Karl Ricker (glaciology); and Michael Allen (black bear and cougar researcher). WHISTLER FISHERIES STEWARDSHIP GROUP

WSFG is a non-profit charitable organization whose purpose is to restore the health of Whistler’s watersheds to their utmost potential for people and fish through community partnerships, advocacy, education and projects. WSFG will be hosting volunteer activity sessions throughout the summer where people can help out and learn about stream restoration, streamside planting, fish monitoring and other stewardship activities.
