THE BIG BANK THEORY
Sea to Sky entertainment has postponed the shooting of the Big Bank Theory, a locally produced feature film. Instead of shooting it in three to four pasts over the summer/fall, it is now scheduled to shoot in one continuous flow from Sept. 3 to Sept. 15. WHISTLER WRITERS WEEKEND WORKSHOP
The weekend workshop from Aug 16-18 still has room. Keynote speaker Andreas Schroeder (co-chair of UBCs Creative Writing program), leads the Whistler Writers weekend workshop. Interested applicants should submit a manuscript no longer than 4,000 words. Writers receive both individual feedback from Schroeder as well as group feedback. The fee for the workshop is $140 for the weekend, or for individual lectures which take place Saturday, the fee is $15 for one, $25 for two. Contact Stella Harvey at 604-932-4518.

SUMMER READING CLUB
The Whistler Public Library is launching its summer reading program for children ages 3 to 9 called Booked for the Summer. Special programs for children will be held on Wednesdays in August. Sessions for 5 to 9 year olds will be held from 4-5 p.m. or 7-8 p.m. There will also be a session from 11 a.m. to noon for preschoolers aged 3 to 4. Pre-registration is important. Fill out a form at the Whistler Public Library.
