WHISTLER CHILDRENS ART FESTIVAL
Twenty years ago Whistler parents concerned about the lack of arts in the valley got together to put on a festival for local children. Its now Whistlers longest running festival, with workshops on a variety of arts-related subjects, as well as professional entertainers. May 25-26 at Myrtle Philip school.
WHISTLER TALENT NIGHT
The Rotary Club of Whistler hosts its first Talent Night May 25 at Maurice Young Millennium Place. Scott Roberts and Michelle Bush are hosts. Fun starts at 7 p.m.
WHISTLER VALLEY TRAIL RUN
Join in the 6 km and 10 km run, May 26, 9 a.m. All proceeds go to the Whistler/Blackcomb Foundation. Entry forms or inquiries for volunteers call Paul Varcica 604-935-5559.

Bring bottles to Nesters and Function Junction Recycling Depots, May 26, noon-4 p.m. Donations of refundables gratefully accepted on behalf of the Whistler Children's Chorus Unisong Fund.
WHISTLER FISHERIES STEWARDSHIP GROUP
The WFSG will be hosting a one-hour informal training session Tuesday, May 28 on the basics of monitoring spawning fish in local streams. Rainbow trout are beginning their annual migration upstream and volunteers are needed to monitor this activity. 5-6 p.m. at the RMOW Public Works Yard on Nesters Road. The WFSG will be hosting volunteer activity sessions throughout the summer where people can help out and learn about stream restoration, streamside planting, fish monitoring and other stewardship activities. The first volunteer session will be a joint effort with Whistler/Blackcomb HIT, and will be on Tuesday, June 11, 2002. For information call 604-935-8323 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
WHISTLER DISCOVERY DAY
The Whistler Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with local businesses, host Discovery Day June 1. Activities, entertainment, community displays, music and in-store deals throughout the valley.

The Whistler Garden Group is having a plant swap and Spring Bonnet contest at Gay Cluer's home at 5658 Alta Lake Road, June 2, 2:30-5 p.m. Bring a twoonie for the "growth fund" and sandwiches, cakes or cookies to share.
