WHISTLER CHILDREN’S ART FESTIVAL. Interested in enhancing the artistic and creative talents of young children? The Whistler Community Arts Council is looking for volunteers for the upcoming Whistler Children’s Art Festival taking place on Saturday, May 26 and Sunday May 27. Volunteers are needed in the following areas: organizing committee, art workshop leaders, art workshop helpers, festival setup/takedown. Help make this community event a success. The Leopard Lounge in the AlpenRock House shows Ride , one of filmmaker Warren Miller’s classic flicks on Thursdays, at 6 p.m. Extreme sports including snowboarding and skiing guaranteed to make your hair stand on end. The first 10 minutes were shot in Whistler so check out big action on your own home turf.
