Take part in Canada Day Parade

Get the creative juices flowing!

comment

Canada Day is fast approaching and the Chamber of Commerce is calling on businesses and community groups to enter a float in the annual Whistler parade.

This year’s theme is: Whistler: Past, Present and Future.

The floats can showcase the history, the current day and the future of Whistler through our cultural heritage, children, multiculturalism, sustainability and whatever else. Families can take that theme and think of creative ways to decorate their bikes and join in the Pique Pedal Parade. Register online at www.piquenewsmagazine.com.

Floats are free of charge for community groups and businesses to enter. The parade starts at 2 p.m. on Friday July 1 and winds its way through the packed village streets. The ending ceremony is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. in the Town Plaza Gazebo.

To take part in the parade register at the Chamber by calling Kristy at 604-932-5922 ext. 12
