Squamishs EDO has organized three workshops to help stakeholders understand the challenges involved in attracting long-term investment to the community. The workshops are also an initiative by the EDO to get a better understanding of what the community would like the "Squamish brand" to look like.
At the Jan. 15 meeting the "basic principles of marketing will be discussed" and feedback from the community will be welcomed.
The first meeting was about business investment opportunities and issues ranging from wind power, to the film industry and developing the education sector were discussed. The third meeting happens on Jan. 26 th and is titled Tourism Branding and Identity.
