WHISTLER YOUTH STRING ENSEMBLE Young musicians between 13 and 18 years old are
invited to join this newly formed music group for teens who have experience and
would like to play with others their own age. The Whistler Arts Council has
provided a grant which will be used to rent a cello, viola and double bass to

community percussion band, lanterns, banners and costumes. This event will
feature Whistler culture and sports through the four seasons of the year.

WORLD CUP ALPINE SKI RACES The Whistler World Cup Alpine Ski Races will feature
the women’s Downhill and Super Combined on Wild Card, Jimmy’s Joker and Lower
Franz’s run and the men’s Super G and Giant Slalom on the Upper and Lower Dave
Murray Track. The event will also have lots of parties and free live concerts
from various acts including rapper K-OS.
