Re-use-it centre b-day party


What: THE CELESTINE PROPHECY Two screenings of The Celestine Prophecy will raise money for the Whistler Youth Centre. Tickets are $12 at The Oracle.

What: RE-USE-IT CENTRE B-DAY PARTY The Re-Use-It Centre is turning eight years old and staff is inviting everyone to join them for birthday cake, coffee, hot dogs and popcorn. The silent auction ends at noon.

What: SPECIAL OLYMPICS OPEN HOUSE Any interested athletes, coaches and volunteers can learn more about the new chapter of the Special Olympics at the two-hour open house. There will be a presentation at 4:15 p.m. followed by refreshments.

What: Balding for dollars Are you brave enough to see what’s under your hair? There will be some willing to shave it all off to raise money in support of children with cancer. Collect pledges and then head to the GLC. Show support by coming along and catch The Hairfarmers while you’re at it.
