The village walkways will come alive from Fri. Aug. 6 to Sun. Aug. 8 with a Tribute to Juggling. Check out performances by Mike Battie, who combines different juggling styles with music and crowd participation, and the Brothers From Different Mothers, who bring physical comedy to their juggling act. Stay tuned for the upcoming street performers throughout the summer in this Tourism Whistler program.
CAR WASH FUNDRAISER>>
Get your car cleaned and help out local youth at the Whistler Youth Centre fundraising car wash on Sat. Aug. 7. The car wash will be held in the parking lot at municipal hall from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds will go to youth events at the centre.

SHOOTING STAR PARTY>>
Check out the annual Perseid Meteor Shower with the Whistler Astronomy Club at Rainbow Park on Wed. Aug. 11 from 7 to 11:30 p.m. Up to 100 meteors may be visible and astronomers are predicting a possible meteor shower. Dress warm and bring a lawn chair. There will be a 25-inch telescope on hand but youll be able to enjoy the show with the naked eye too.
A Canadian comedy is the next outdoor film from the Whistler Film Festivals Reel Alternatives Series. Seducing Dr. Lewis is the story of a little harbour village in Quebec trying to attract a company to build a factory nearby and revive the local economy. The only condition is that there must be a resident doctor and so, the villagers work to convince Dr. Lewis to set up shop in St. Marie. The movie plays at Lost Lake Park at 10 p.m. on Wed. Aug. 11.
