THE COLLECTIVE FILM PREMIERE>>
Local filmmakers Jamie Houssian and Darcy Wittenburg present The Collective a 16 mm mountain biking movie on the big screen at the bottom of the Whistler Bike Park at 10 p.m. on Sat. June 12. Movie is free. After-party takes place at the GLC for $10. Tix at Evolution and GLC.
Dry Grad is taking place at the Meadow Park Sports Centre on Sat. June 12 from 10 p.m. 5 a.m. Grads will enjoy the Tiki Pool mocktail bar, access to the hot tub and steam room, take in Jaws on the big screen, play floor hockey and more. RICK HANSEN WHEELS IN MOTION>>
The second annual Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion event is taking place on Sun. June 13 at the Meadow Park Sport Centre. Wheel, bike, skate, run or walk the designated course to help raise awareness and funds for people with spinal cord injuries. There will be a BBQ, 50/50 draw, face painting and draw prizes. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The second annual night of campfire ghost stories with the Whistler Writers Group (The Vicious Circle) will take place at the Riverside Campground on Sun. June 13 from 8 10 p.m. Bring lawn chairs, marshmallows and blankets. This is a family event but some material might not be suitable for all audiences.
3 rd ANNUAL JAIL N BAIL>>
The usual suspects will be rounded into jail at the GLC on Mon. June 14 at 7 p.m. for Whistler-Blackcombs third annual Jail n Bail. Tickets are $15. Help set them free! A live auction with goods and services donated from local businesses will help raise money for the Lions Society 24-Hour Relay. The Relay is a fundraising race that helps B.C. kids with disabilities attend summer camp. For tickets call 604-938-7557. All proceeds from the Jail n Bail will be donated to the 24-Hour Relay.
BIG BIKE FOR STROKE>>
The Heart and Stroke Foundations Big Bike for Stroke will take place on Wed. June 16 at the IGA Market Place. Riders on the 30-seat bicycle will collect pledges and all the money raised will benefit the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. & Yukon. Contact Amanda Smith for details at 604-983-8492.
LUNA (Late & Unique Nighttime Alternatives) is back! On Thurs. June 17 go to the drive in movies and see TAXI, a late nineties French screwball comedy, for the first LUNAFLIK of the summer. The alcohol-free event begins at 9:30 p.m. at the Base II Parking Lot. The event is $15/car, $2/pedestrian.

The first Farmers Market of the season kicks off on Sun. June 20 from 11 a.m. 4 a.m. The market with its fresh organic and local produce and its funky arts and crafts will set the Upper Village alive every Sunday afternoon until Oct. 11.
