The Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre (SLCC) will be closing the Great Hall exhibits from Nov. 8 to 24 for maintenance and exhibit upgrades.
During this time the giftshop and cafe will be closed from Nov. 8-12. The giftshop will reopen on Nov. 13 at the regular hours of 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. daily and the café will be open on weekends. The full facility will reopen in time for American Thanksgiving weekend on Nov. 24, with a new range of craft workshops, enhanced guest experiences, the start of a totem exhibit and resurfacing the floors.
The Istken Hall will not be affected by the maintenance work and will be host to some interesting community focused events including the Cornucopia Top 25 reception on Friday, Nov. 12, the Winter Farmer's Market on Sundays and the Whistler Volunteer Fair on Tuesday, Nov. 16.
