Back by popular demand, the Whistler Pottery Club is partnering with the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre to offer the community a unique food bank fundraiser called Empty Bowls. The club is collecting 130 handmade pottery bowls from members and potters across the Sea to Sky. For $30, attendees select a handmade bowl of their choice and fill it with a selection of soups generously donated by local chefs. At the end of the lunch, attendees can take their bowl home. The goal is to exceed $5,000 raised for local food banks at the Whistler Community Services Society, Sea to Sky Community Services Food Bank in Pemberton and the Squamish Food Bank. Tickets go on sale Dec. 19.
