Whistler students have done their part this holiday season to warn drivers not to drink if theyre getting behind the wheel.
Both Myrtle Philip and Spring Creek students gave the drab brown paper bags at the liquor store a facelift last week with their personal artwork, complete with a serious message.
Called the "Think of Me" campaign, the Grade 1 to Grade 7 students were encouraged to draw pictures of themselves with the message "Think of me, dont drink and drive."
Six Whistler Secondary students, members of the CARS (Counter Attack Road Safety) team were on hand at the schools to help the younger kids spread the message.
Four hundred brown bags will be at the Marketplace Liquor Store on Dec. 23. It is estimated the bags will last for roughly three days.
Meanwhile the RCMP is stepping up their roadside checks this holiday season.
The Counter Attack program will see more enforcement on the roads.
