A central concern of ancient ethics, which is directly relevant to our concerns to day, is the question what is a good life. Aristotle thinks he has an answer to this question: the good life is the happy life. However, in working out his answer, he ends up redefining the nature of happiness. This talk, led by humanities tutor Darcy Otto, will explore the nature of happiness, and ask whether or not it leads to a good life. Seating is limited, so please come early.
