Celtic ska from Poland?
When: March 25
Where: Boot Pub
Did you know ska could go Celtic?
It can and it does, with the band Warsaw, the reggae dub and ska outfit who have shared the stage with No Doubt, the Offspring, Save Ferris, and The Young Dubliners.
With two percussionists, a saxophonist and often horns, their instruments hone moody tones on songs like Echo, or up the quotient on the fast-paced Not to be Understood.
They dub themselves a "hardworking tour band" and have been known to get dance floors hopping in their home base of Tucson, Arizona.
From Elephant Funk to Drug rap, theres mix of titles and sounds that form a diverse blend.
Warsaws sound was heard on the Vans Triple Crown Surf, Skate and Snowboard competition, which aired on ESPN and NBC networks.
The band also appeared on the Mentos Freshmakers Tour and album.
Catch the sounds of the five-piece band, who play from albums Pimpin on the Crutches (2001), HORs Glore (1999), Battle Ska Galactica (1997), and Warska (1995).
