RE-USE IT CENTRE Open daily, 10 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. at the recycling depot in Function Junction. New or used items that are clean, in good shape and working order will be accepted.

 

TETRA SOCIETY, WHISTLER CHAPTER This non-profit volunteer-based organization creates assistive devices for people with disabilities. Project requests and volunteers, particularly those with mechanical and design skills, are needed. Contact Carla 604-905-9597, or www.tetrasociety.org for info.

 

TOASTMASTERS CLUB Interested in mastering communication skills, conducting meetings and delivering speeches in a friendly group and supportive environment? Drop in for free to the Whistler Toastmasters Club every Wed. at 5:30 p.m. at Municipal Hall. For info call Ralph Forsyth 604-905-8997.

 

WHISTLER ADAPTIVE SPORTS PROGRAM This non-profit society provides sports and recreation experiences for people with disabilities. Donations of equipment or funds help provide those opportunities. Call Chelsey Walker 604-935-9406 or email info@whistleradaptive.com to volunteer or donate.

 

WHISTLER ANIMALS GALORE (WAG) is a no-kill animal shelter dedicated to

protecting and enhancing the lives of lost, unwanted and homeless

animals. Take part in volunteer dog walking or visiting the animals on Monday

and Tuesday from 3-5pm and Wednesday through Sunday 1-5 pm.   Call 604-935-8364 or stop by the shelter located on Nesters Road by the recycling depot.
