Open Friday-Monday, noon-4 p.m. at the recycling depot on Nesters Road, next to municipal works yard . Most drinkable containers are now on the deposit-refund system. Commercial loads accepted by appointment. Call 604-932-3733.

WHISTLER FISHERIES STEWARDSHIP GROUP>>

The WFSG exists to restore Whistler's waterways through education, projects, advocacy, and community partnerships. There are volunteer opportunities throughout the summer for water quality sampling, fish monitoring, educational programs and habitat restoration. WHISTLER HOUSING AUTHORITY>>

Provides long-term housing for Whistler employees for purchase or rental. Eligible Whistler employees can register to purchase an employee-restricted property. For details drop by the office at 4335 Main Street, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday, or visit www.whistlerhousing.ca. The WHA also provides a rental listing service for landlords, and some landlord-tenant info.

WHISTLER MUSEUM and ARCHIVES>>

Permanent exhibits on natural and pioneer history. Currently featuring Frozen Time: Glaciers in the Coastal Mountains, Posters from One Century of Skiing in the Alps of Piedmont, and The Whistler Black Bear Project. Also featuring The Whistler Black Bear Project Satellite Exhibit in the foyer of Maurice Young Millennium Place. Open Thurs. through Sun., 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (8 p.m. on Thurs).
