Foodies down on the farm For those of you who can’t wait until Cornucopia for the finer foods in life there’s still time to head to North Arm Farm in Pemberton for one last meal. This Saturday, Oct. 31, the last instalment in the garden to gourmet meal series will take place between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The fall has seen chefs from La Rúa, Chef Bernard’s And the Bear Foot Bistro head up to North Arm Farm in Pemberton to chose ingredients for a gourmet meal from the farm garden. The farm’s fresh corn, squash, berries, beets, carrots, Pemberton potatoes, tomatoes, herbs and flowers have been combined with fine B.C. wineries to create an on the spot dinner from scratch. Farmer Jordan Sturdy says it has been fascinating watching the wide variety of dishes the chefs create from the same ingredients. On Saturday Glenn Monk from the Chateau Whistler will make the final meal. Space is limited so call Sturdy at (604) 894-5379 for reservations. Each session is $45.
