Movin' on up The Chateau Whistler is saying bon voyage to Laura Fairweather, director of public relations, who is moving "home" to Toronto to be director of communications at CP Hotels' head office. Moving on up to fill Laura's Whistler job is Sonya Hwang, who takes on the title of manager of public relations. Fairweather has been at the Chateau for 2.5 years. She will report to Ann Layton, vice-president public affairs & communications. Teamwork on the links The Western Businesswomen's Association is holding its annual golf event, June 24, as a best ball format that gets each foursome working together. If you're not sure which end of the club is up, a group lesson will be provided by the Whistler Golf Club pro. Fees for the evening event are $50 for WBA members, $60 for non-members. To register by June 22, call the Whistler Conference Centre (932-5528). The WBA embraces its members' social and professional development by providing contacts with like-minded businesswomen in Whistler and Vancouver.
