Bylaw crackdown 'fixes' signs What a difference a week makes — no sooner does Pique Newsmagazine try to explain the ins and outs of Whistler's sign bylaw when previously offending businesses sort themselves out. Centra Gas workshop re-scheduled Because of overbooking at the Fairways Hotel, the Centra Gas pipeline workshop set for Wednesday, March 11, at 10 a.m., is now at McGuire Room 'A' of the Whistler Conference Centre. Same date and time. The parks and recreation department is hosting CAP Day March 7 at Whistler Secondary. CAP Day is a chance for adults to explore some of the community access programs, such as pottery, woodworking, the internet or the climbing wall. Admission and activities are free. Activities are available between 2 and 8 p.m. March 7. Dinner With a Difference returns The fourth season of Dinner With a Difference spirituality dinners will get underway March 11. Natasha Aldred, psychic, healer, teacher and writer for more than 25 years, will speak at the March 11 dinner. Dinner With a Difference is a bimonthly series of gatherings at Boston Pizza. The lecture costs $2.50 and dinner/drinks are up to individuals. Meetings begin at 5:45 p.m. Upcoming speakers include Robin Allen, who teaches vibrational healing and flower essences; Maurice Fratarcanteli, a certified rolfer; and Henry Dorst, a teacher of Feng Shui, the art of making homes harmonious. The SAFE — Whistler’s Healthy Sexuality Clinic — is looking for 8-10 new volunteer counsellors. Volunteers must be available on Tuesdays, between 4 and 8 p.m. and must have a keen interest in human reproduction, including birth control, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and pregnancy. Volunteers must have good communication skills and be comfortable with sexuality issues. Training will be provided on March 13, during the day.
