Four-year-old Ravi Raina was presented with a brand new red Norco bike after winning the prize for best decorated bike in the 3-5 year old category.
"I think he was a little surprised," laughed mom Nidhi Raina.
"I was surprised too because his bike is really old."
Ravi was born in the United States in 2000, after his family moved there from New Delhi in India. Originally the family are from Kashmir in the north of India.
"Were mountain people ourselves, however I dont ski!" said Nidhi.
The family moved to Whistler in 2001.
This year, on March 10, Ravi and his father became Canadian citizens. Nidhi will be applying at a later date.
Ravi was one of almost 60 participants who took part in the third annual Pique Pedal Parade.
He decorated his bike with bees and flowers and of course a Canadian flag.
Since the parade on July 1 Ravi has been out on his new Norco bike and though it might be a little harder to pedal than his old bike, hes quickly getting used to it.
The bike was donated by Norco and assembled by Fanatyk Co.
