KVRS breaks out the speed

comment

There is exactly one speed event on the Kokanee Valley Race Series this season, a super G that took place on Raven/Ptarmigan on Jan. 21. Competitors dusted off their helmets for two runs down the same course used for the Parsons Memorial K2 racers the weekend before. Only the best of two runs down the course would count.

Following this event the KVRS is on hiatus until March 11. A giant slalom on Blackcomb is scheduled for March 11, followed by a dual giant slalom and team relay on March 18. Both events should be busy with the annual Appleton Rum Peak to Valley Race taking place on March 26 to 27.
