The third annual Flag Stop Theatre & Arts Festival is shaping up to be an incredible weekend of theatre, music and art at the beautiful scenic heritage lodge, The Point Artist-Run Centre. The two-day festival includes hot swing jazz from the New Orleans Ale Stars on Friday night and the explosive C.R. Avery with DJ Su Comandante and the Sass Section on Saturday. There will also be premiere performances of two original plays: Decaf for a Dying Man by Karen McLeod on Friday, Aug. 29, and Mirrored Lives by Angie Nolan the following evening. Singer-songwriter Christine Sherrington is also on Saturday afternoon followed by the inimitable Doc Fingers on piano, as well as roaming musicians and actors, Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School with model Trish Halsey Belsham, and more. Saturday night's grand finale is the annual Lantern Boat Procession. Fine lunch, dinner and cash bar all weekend! Tickets available starting August 11 at www.thepointartists.com and Armchair Books.
