Fire Prevention Week

Every October, the Whistler Fire Rescue Service joins other Fire Services across North America to raise awareness and educate the public on the dangers associated with fires. This year's theme is "Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives: Test Yours Every Month!". Whistler Fire Rescue Service organizes activities throughout the week, including an open house and live demo at Fire Hall 1 on Oct. 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; an open house and barbecue at Fire Hall 3 on Oct. 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and a door-to-door smoke alarm testing campaign on Oct. 8, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. For a complete schedule of events, visit www.whistler.ca.
