Fire and Ice: The Glacio-Volcanic History of Garibaldi Provincial Park

Garibaldi Provincial Park hosts a fascinating and spectacular array of exquisite landforms that were formed by the interaction of erupting volcanoes and glacial ice. Garibaldi Lake, the Barrier, the Table and the Black Tusk are all products of recent glacio-volcanism. In this talk, Quest University's Steve Quane will share new results and insights from his research into the timing and mechanisms of formation of these iconic landmarks.
