Last weeks Get Stuffed on essential verses non-essential fats omitted a good source of essential Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids whole hemp seeds and hemp oil.
According to Peter Skeels of Fiber Options, hemp seeds contain "Natures most perfectly balanced oil" due to the fact that pressed hemp seed oil contains the ideal three to one ratio of Omega-3 to Omega-6 fatty acids, plus essential Gamma Lonolenic Acids. This is a better ratio than flax, and "it tastes way better."
"One other thing," writes Skeels. "It is similar to olive oil in the respect that you wouldnt heat it above 150 degrees Centigrade as it would turn it into something unhealthy. Use it in salads, pasta, dressings, or drink it straight out of the bottle. It tastes great a real flavourful nutty taste."
