The celebration of all things "hog" consists of an afternoon motorcycle exhibition featuring the baddest of the bad from Squamish bike shop Sea to Sky Choppers, and a whole hog barbecue feed in the evening.
Celebrity smokemaster Adam Protter of Mount Currie "Best New Cook" at Augusts Canadian national championships will be on hand as a special guest expert at the barbecue pit. The meat will be served for $5 a plate on a first-come first-served basis. Local barbecue teams will also be offering rib samplings throughout the afternoon.
The party will continue into the night with tunes by Blue River a.k.a. Guitar Dougs rockin bluegrass band, and the aptly named Cousin Harley & The Piglets, Vancouvers good time country/rockabilly rollers.
The bike show is open to all proud moto-owners. Bikes must be registered in advance by calling 604-905-2145. Those with registered show bikes eat free at the barbecue pit.
Hogfest 04 starts smokin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9.
