Whistler RCMP recovered cash, drugs and weapons in the bust of a suspected local drug dealer.
On Nov. 24, officers executed a search warrant at a home in the Northlands Boulevard area, discovering 13.5 grams of cocaine and 24.5 grams of marijuana, over $4,000 in cash and various weapons.
A 22-year-old man, Antek Smazynski was arrested at the scene and later released on conditions.
Smazynski faces charges of possession and trafficking of controlled substances, possession of prohibited weapons and possession of stolen property. He was scheduled to appear in North Vancouver court on Dec. 19.
According to a press release issued by Cst. Afzeel Yakub, the RCMP had been watching Smazynski for some time. RCMP say they hope to make more arrests soon.

Spray and run
Last December, two Whistler RCMP members were temporarily blinded after Alfred Joseph Tremblay of Whistler sprayed them with bear spray in an attempt to evade arrest in Whistler Village.
Tremblay turned himself into the RCMP soon after the incident.
On Dec. 10 this year, Tremblay was found guilty of assaulting two police officers with a weapon, and received a suspended sentence.
The charge carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail and/or a fine of $2,000.
Suspected repeat offender returns
A man suspected of targeting Whistler area homes for burglary has been escorted out of town.
Stephen Blackwater currently faces 18 charges of break and enter, all of which originate from the Whistler area. He was instructed not to return to the community upon his release. His return to the area is a breach of these conditions.
