What: Studio 54 Party

When: New Year’s

Where: Tommy Africa’s

Tickets $59

The glam and hedonism of Studio 54 comes alive again with a New Year’s Eve party celebrating the New York City disco famous for mixing top celebrities with beautiful nobodies in the 1970s.

The last days of disco in 2006 will be at the Studio 54 Party Sunday, Dec. 31 at Tommy Africa’s.

DJ Ryder spins out all your retro favourites; Lady Marmalade, Celebrate and I Will Survive will be familiar sounds, along with music from ABBA, Rick James and the Bee Gees.

“I’ll have current stuff as well, ’80s music, hip hop; a bit of everything,” said Ryder who hosts the weekly 1980s night.

He was also on deck for last year’s New Year’s festivities and is back by demand thanks to his discolicious vibe.

Look for the Afro in the 360-degree DJ booth and don’t forget to glam it up.

Get the disco vibe going with champagne and appetizers at midnight.

Advanced $59 tickets are available at Tommy’s and the Hub in Creekside.
