They call it the "golden era of song," and a certain suave moonlighter is coming up this way to prove that gold never loses its value.

Dave Adelberg, Vancouver realtor by day, crooner by night, will be performing a selection of jazz classics from the ’30s and ’40s this Saturday evening at MY Place. Adelberg will be tapping into the oeuvres of jazz masters Cole Porter, George & Ira Gershwin and Sammy Kahn and will be backed by a foursome drawn from local songsters the Whistler Singers.

"I don't know why the music of the ’30s and ’40s grabbed me, I suppose it was the melody that ultimately got me hooked," muses Adelberg. "No matter where my destiny takes me I feel safe when there is music that soothes and inspires me."

Let Adelberg inspire you Come Rain, Come Shine this Saturday in the upstairs theatre at MY Place.
