Chapter Eleven of the Collective Novel launches April 13

The final chapter has been written

Ten writers and 10 illustrators pooled their creative energy to create the most novel of novels, Murder in the Great Big Playground, a tale of real estate, murder, politics and really great powder .

From sizzling sex scenes to employee housing scams to conniving property developers, the collective work spun an alternative Whistler out of the minds of 20 local creative folk, Cindy Filipenko, Grant Stoddard, Kevin Damaskie, Sean Wilken, Stella L Harvey, Kim Thompson, Annabell Mailath, Rebecca Wood Barrett, Katherine Fawcett, Lisa Richardson, Phresha LeVandale, Katie Green, Christina Nick, Jon Parris, Dave Petko, Jasmine Robinson, Justin Ormiston, Corinna Haight, Meaghan Reid, and Reannan Tyson.

These are the real culprits and they will be unmasked at Chapter Eleven, a special by-invitation gathering on April 13 at the Whistler Public Library, as part of the Libration festivities.

Limited edition copies of the novel will be available for viewing at the Library, and an exhibit of the artwork will travel from the library to the conference centre during the TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival.

The final story has been collated and is available for downloading at the Festival’s Press Room at http://www.watermarkinc.ca/twssfmedia/ or at Pique newsmagazine.

The collaboration was made possible through the support of Pique Newsmagazine, The Vicious Circle (Whistler’s Writers Group) and the TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival, and is evidence of one sure thing, there’s a snow-load of talent in these parts.
