The Whistler Bear Aware Program would like to congratulate this week’s prize draw winners of the Residential Challenge: The Hopkins Family and the Chong Family of Pemberton, winners of a pair of tickets to the upcoming Charlie Russell documentary showing at MY Millennium Place on Nov. 14 th . The Bear Aware Program is now expanding into Pemberton, inviting residents to join in on the challenge.
In Whistler, the leading Whistler neighbourhoods of the residential challenge are Group 2, 3, and 5. To find out which of the nine groups you live in, look at the first number of your street address.
The bears are still very active and will continue to be so until December. Keep your family and the bears safe by joining the challenge and bear proofing your home. Pick up a checklist at IGA, Nesters, Creekside Market, or The Village Grocery Store, and simply follow the instructions. Lots of great prizes to still give away each week.
Don’t forget to buy your tickets to the Charlie Russell event and the Bear Aware Party, and support the Bear Aware Program. Both events are anticipated to sell out. Tickets are available at Ticket Master and MY Millennium Place.
