Whistler's Audain Art Museum has ramped up its website to prepare for the museum's opening.
Information on the collection, hours, admissions and memberships is now available.
The first event scheduled for the building on Blackcomb Way is an opening celebration reception and Dinner on Saturday, March 5 at 4 p.m.
Tickets for the dinner at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler — following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the museum — are $450 each or $4,000 for a table of 10, if purchased prior to January 31. Tickets are $500 each or $4,500 for a table of 10 after that date.
The website states that admission fees for adults aged 17 and older is $18. Admission for youth aged 16 and under, along with Audain membership holders, is free.
And while the official opening day has not yet been announced, the museum's hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. The museum will be closed on Tuesdays.

As well, Audain Art Museum founder Michael Audain is giving his second free lecture on the project, this time in Vancouver.
A Home for Art: The Audain Art Museum will look at the plans behind the project and provide insight into its permanent collection.
The recently published catalogue of the museum's artworks, Masterworks from the Audain Art Museum will be on sale.
The lecture takes place at UBC Robson Square on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 7:30 p.m.
Quest University Continuing Education program
Quest University in Squamish has announced the latest list of courses available in its continuing education program, starting in February.
There are arts classes on digital photography, drawing, world cinema, creative writing, guitar, and the modern graphic novel alongside language courses, and classes on politics, the media and technology.

Community arts festival funding available
Community-based arts and cultural organizations in British Columbia can apply now for project assistance funding from the BC Arts Council to produce local arts festivals.
Awards under this program are intended to assist with the fees paid to professional artists and technicians engaged for the event.
Eligible projects may include presentation of original work, existing repertoire or exhibitions, or exploration of diverse work. Festivals may feature a combination of local and touring artists. Awards will provide up to a maximum of $7,500. Priority will be given to festivals that engage B.C. and Canadian artists. Application deadline is Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016.
