Arts councils meetings
Arts councils play an invaluable role by not only representing artists interests, but also organizing events and encouraging artistic involvement, as well as arts education to nurture and encourage the growth of community culture.
The Squamish Art Council invites artists and the public alike to get involved by attending a gala artist reception as well as the councils annual general meeting Tuesday, March 14 at the old Chambers (green) building on Cleveland Avenue.
Local artists are encouraged to showcase their works at the 6:30 p.m. reception, which will be followed by the AGM at 8 p.m. New members and ideas welcome.
The Pemberton Arts Council also invites creative types to get involved in helping build a vibrant arts community in Pemberton by attending the monthly meetings every third Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at 1422 Collins Road. This month art enthusiasts meet March 16.
