Canadas Jaysey-Jay Anderson followed up an eighth place World Cup finish in Whistler last week with a silver medal performance in the parallel giant slalom at Stoneham, Quebec.
He cruised through the qualifiers and the elimination rounds, beating two Olympic medallists and the reigning PGS world champion.
In the final, he lost out to Mathieu Bozzetto of France, the World Cup leader and the gold medallist from the World Cup parallel slalom in Whistler.
Anderson was actually leading the way, with a 0.8 second lead after the first run. On the second run, he made a serious slip near the bottom, and Bozzetto was able to make up the time.
Canadian teammate Jerome Sylvestre, coming off a 10 th place finish the day before, was 13 th .
In the womens contest, Sara Fischer defeated teammate Aprilia Hagglof of Sweden for the gold medal. Whistlers Alexa Loo became the first Canadian woman to reach the round of 16 playoffs, and she went on to place 11 th the best result for a Canadian woman in this event.
