Anderson back on podium in PGS

comment

Mont Tremblant's Jasey Jay Anderson seems to have regained some of the consistency that netted him three back-to-back overall World Cup titles from 2001 to 2003.

In the World Cup race at Alpe d'Huez, France on Sunday, Jan. 11 the 28-year-old Anderson grabbed his third bronze medal of the season in the Parallel Giant Slalom after qualifying in fifth position. He continued to knock off opponents in the head-to-head format before he met up with Mathieu Bozzetto of France in the semi-finals.

Bozzetto took that contest, and went on to beat Siegfried Grabner of Austria in the finals. Anderson raced Dieter Krassnig of Austria in the small final and was victorious.

The day before, Anderson was ninth overall in another PGS, a makeup event for a race that was cancelled earlier in the season.
